Sculpting the Future: Memory, Imagination and the Public Realm

LSW Symposium 2024

Join us for the second London Sculpture Week Symposium, an engaging afternoon of dialogue, creativity and critical exploration. 

The symposium will cover the challenges of placemaking and the long-term ambitions of curatorial and civic projects. It will highlight how public identity, social engagement and curatorial innovation respond to these pressures, while imagining how new possibilities can emerge from past successes.

Access Information

  • The symposium will take place in the auditorium on the ground floor of The Warburg Institute.
  • There is a permanent ramp positioned to the right-hand side of the main entrance.
  • A designated disabled parking space is available immediately outside the Institute.
  • The auditorium has flat access and the space is designed to be fully wheelchair accessible.
  • There is a disabled toilet near the entrance to the gallery.
  • BSL interpretation is not available for this event due to limited resources. Please let us know if this affects your participation.
